This is a set of safety deposit boxes from a national bank vault. The boxes come in various sizes. We have grouped the boxes to sell in blocks of 220-290 individual boxes. The blocks measure approximately 3.5′ high x 5′ wide. The boxes are all 24″ deep. Most of the boxes and lock sets are made by Diebold and all are double keyed. The compartmentalized boxes which hold the individual safety deposit boxes are solid steel that is from 1/16″-1/4″ thick. These boxes without the doors and lock sets weigh approximately 800-1500 pounds. The doors have all been removed and individually wrapped and packaged of boxes of approximately 60 pounds each. The doors are all about 1/2″ thick solid stainless steel and each door has two different locks which requires two different keys to open. All keys are included.

Each individual safety deposit box has an engraved number in the door and a light weight high quality hinged steel box to hold contents. This inner box is easily removable from the heavy steel compartment. The boxes which are removable are also numbered (some numbers are actually hand painted) with corresponding numbers to the stainless steel door compartment numbers. All safety deposit boxes are of a standardized size and shape. They have the same type of hinges, which are all brass, and solid stainless front doors. Although several different lock brands are used, all doors, hinges, and lock sets are interchangeable.

We have approximately 4,000 total boxes for sale although this listing is for one lot which ranges from 200-279 in box numbers. You may call me at 425-387-7521 to discuss details on the matter. These boxes are in excellent condition and were just removed this week from a bank which closed approximately 2 months ago. All boxes in the vault were in use. Approximately 5% of the boxes had lock tumblers removed during the bank decommissioning process. We will guarantee in your lot no more than 5% of the boxes will include missing lock tumblers. All customer keys are in envelopes and enclosed in the individual light weight metal boxes. The bank employee keys, or the master key that goes with your particular lot, will also be included with your purchase. These boxes are in very good condition and should be useable by any bank or whatever you may choose to do with them.
